Article Gift Card

It depends on whether the card has been redeemed yet:

1. Not yet redeemed: Go to the Article gift card page and use the "Check Your Balance" link there, or call Article customer service at 1-888-746-3455. PissedConsumer
2. Already redeemed: The value has moved into store credit and lives under the Credits tab in My Account on article.com. Credit only shows on the country version of the site matching the currency it was issued in, and you have to be signed into that specific account to see it. It won't show up anywhere else.

1. Open the delivery email and follow the activation link.
2. If an Article account already exists on that email address, you'll be asked to sign in. If not, you'll be prompted to create one.
3. Once logged in, the gift card value will be displayed under the "Credits" tab.
4. From there it applies automatically at checkout, with any remainder payable by another method.

An Article gift card converts into store credit attached to one account and one email address, and Article states that credit is not transferable. That structure removes most of what makes a card liquid on a secondary market. We'd rather explain that than quote you a rate we can't honour.

Not practically. Article ships furniture within the United States and Canada, and credit is only shown in the country where the currency was issued. It's locked to that country's version of the site. You'd need a delivery address in the country the card was issued in to actually use it.

The specific risk here is a buyer who asks you to redeem the card to an account first "so they can check it," which permanently binds the value away from you. Steps to protect yourself:

1. Never redeem before a sale. Once it's tied to an account, it can't move to someone else.
2. Keep the original delivery email untouched: Don't forward it or click the activation link until the sale is final.
3. Verify balance status through the Article page rather than taking a buyer's word for what's "already used."

The gift card itself does not, but Article notes that some store credits carry an expiry date, after which the value drops to zero at 11:59pm PST on the day of expiry. Check the terms attached to your specific credit, via the Terms & Conditions, rather than assuming.

Article doesn't accept multiple credit or prepaid cards for a single purchase, but payments can be split between a primary payment method and Article gift cards.

Credits pool in your account, so multiple cards redeemed to the same account combine into one balance, and that combined balance can be split with another payment method at checkout.

You choose the send date at purchase, the recipient gets the gift card at 9 AM PST on the date you select, so it can be immediate or scheduled ahead. There's no physical card option; Article does not issue physical cards for mailing.
