Before you trade any gift card, always verify the balance. Here's how to do it for the most popular brands we trade.
Amazon Gift Cards
Go to amazon.com/gc/redeem, sign in, and enter the claim code. The remaining balance will display. Alternatively, check 'Your Account' → 'Gift cards'.
iTunes / Apple Gift Cards
Go to reportaproblem.apple.com or call 1-800-275-2273. You can also try to redeem the code on iTunes and it will show the balance without applying it if the account already has credit.
Steam Wallet Codes
Steam codes don't have a balance — they're one-time use and have a fixed value printed on the card. Just make sure the code hasn't been used before.
Google Play
Open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile icon → 'Payments & subscriptions' → 'Redeem gift code'. Enter the code and the balance will show before you confirm redemption.
Visa / Amex Prepaid Cards
Call the toll-free number on the back of the card. There's always a 24/7 automated balance line. You'll need the card number and sometimes the ZIP code used when activating it.
