iTunes vs Apple Gift Card: The Difference and Why It Matters

Apple rebranded iTunes gift cards in 2020. Here's what changed, what stayed the same, and how region affects your payout in Nigeria.

If you still call them 'iTunes gift cards', you're not alone — but Apple officially rebranded them as 'Apple Gift Cards' in 2020. We buy both, and here's everything you need to know.

What Changed With the Rebrand?

The new Apple Gift Cards can be used across all Apple services: App Store, Apple Music, iCloud, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and more. Old iTunes-branded cards work identically. Same rate, same payout.

US vs UK vs Other Regions

US region cards fetch the highest rates — currently ₦1,500–₦1,540 per dollar. UK cards are accepted at slightly lower rates. Australian and Canadian cards are accepted; message us for current rates.

How to Check Which Region Your Card Is

Look at the card packaging or the digital redemption email. It should state the country or currency (USD, GBP, AUD). When in doubt, send us a photo and we'll confirm before you commit to trading.
