In store, hand it to the cashier and it works as tender across the whole Gap family. Online, add your items at bananarepublic, gap, oldnavy or athleta, then enter the card number and PIN in the gift card field at checkout. Purchases draw the balance down until it reaches zero, and whatever the card does not cover you pay another way.

Three limits worth knowing. The card may not be used or redeemed with certain promotional offers. It cannot be applied as payment on any account, which means it will not pay down a Banana Republic Encore credit card balance. And in the digital format, you cannot use an eGiftCard to buy another eGiftCard, with online redemption capped at five eGiftCards per transaction.
