Online at gcbalance.com. By phone on 1-866-822-6252. In the Kroger family mobile app, where you can scan the card number with the camera or type it in. Or at a register, by handing the card to a cashier or customer care associate for a balance inquiry. Your last receipt also prints the remaining balance, which is the quickest check if you shopped recently.

Present it at the register at Food 4 Less or any other Kroger family store, or use it to prepay for fuel at a participating fuel kiosk. If the total runs past the card balance, the cashier will ask for a second payment method for the remainder. Two things matter here. First, because these cards are reloadable and spendable across a large store family, they are drained fast once the numbers leak, so never send the card number and PIN to someone who has not already committed to a price and a payment timeline. Second, and more common: if anyone asked you to pay a bill, a fee, a fine or a debt with grocery gift cards, that is a scam every single time. No legitimate organisation collects money that way.

We do not have one to recommend, and we would question any platform that offers to buy this card instantly. A US grocery card has no instant market in Nigeria.

Redemption happens at a physical Kroger family register or fuel kiosk in the United States. There is no online-only redemption route, and Kroger's terms say the card cannot be redeemed for Ship orders.

The one cost worth naming is not a fee at all: if the card is lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed, Kroger will not replace it and the remaining value is gone.

Yes. Kroger family gift cards can be reloaded at any store cash register. Hand the card to the cashier, say how much you want to add, and pay. The new amount joins whatever was already on it. This is a real difference from most restaurant and retail cards, which are single-load, and it is why a Kroger family card is worth keeping rather than discarding at zero.

Buy a digital card from the Kroger gift card store and enter the recipient's email, or buy a plastic card at any Food 4 Less register and hand it over. If you are sending the numbers rather than the card, remember the balance belongs to whoever holds the number and PIN, and the card is not replaceable, so send them through a channel you trust.

At self-checkout, the usual route is to select the "other" payment option, which flags an attendant to help apply the card.
