How to trade your Half Price Books gift card

  1. Check your balance: Call 1-800-883-2114 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. CST with your card number, or stop by any Half Price Books store and ask a staff member to check it for you.
  2. Send your card details: If it's a physical card, take clear photos of the front and back, making sure the card number and PIN are easy to read. If it's an eGift Card, send a screenshot of the gift card code from hpb.
  3. Tap "Sell My Card": Send us your card details and the available balance over WhatsApp. We'll verify the information and quote you our current rate. Once the balance check is complete, we'll confirm exactly when you'll be paid, and the agreed amount will be transferred directly to your bank account.
